Starting your business from home is so convenient, but if you are distracted, lonely or missing the structure of a work environment, co-working spaces are for you! I have had a fantastic experience with the co-working space I recently joined, Hustle Coworking Albury, which I am keen to share more about with you in this newsletter.  

What is a Co-Working Space?  

A co-working space is a shared workspace where entrepreneurs, freelancers, and remote workers can work independently—yet alongside others. Most offer flexible memberships, high-speed internet, meeting rooms, and even childcare options in some cases.

My Co-Working Space Experience at Hustle 

I have thoroughly enjoyed the days I have spent at Hustle since joining. Hustle is a converted warehouse that is an inviting space with lots of natural light and various spaces to work, meet clients, eat, and chat. The amenities are great - including tea, coffee, breakfast, chilled water and a fridge to put my lunch in. Hustle is also very organised with a handy app to make desk and meeting room bookings, security access on a mobile phone app so I can be there outside of 9-5 working hours and all community members listed for easy connections. 

I enjoyed a free trial day before I signed up. While working at Hustle, I was surrounded by busy professionals, and I enjoyed talking with them about their businesses. Members can take phone calls as they work, so the space is not silent (though there are smaller rooms you can access for quiet or private phone calls). Compared to when I am at home, I get a lot of focused work done. I plug my laptop into a monitor and go (a keyboard, monitor, chords and mouse are all provided). I can also book meeting rooms to see clients (on my membership level, I pay per hour). 

How Can You Make a Start?

• Choose a membership – options range from daily drop-ins to monthly plans. Of course, cost is a consideration and something you may look at as your business is more established.  
• Pick your space – open desks, private offices, or meeting rooms—whatever suits your style.  
• Enjoy the perks – fast WiFi, printing, tea and coffee, networking events, and more.
