Making a Start - Weekly Email For Subscribers
I have begun connecting weekly with my community of mamas through a newsletter. The weekly email focuses on motivating mums to move forward with creating and growing their online businesses. I believe that mindset is so important and can be a significant obstacle, especially in managing self-sabotage, overwhelm, time and limiting beliefs. So, I look forward to sending out some encouraging and reassuring thoughts and ideas that get mums excited and pumped to make their dreams come true.
I have decided to keep the email design very basic at this stage and focus on sending out high-quality written content. I can always change this decision later and send out a better-designed email. I am considering creating a banner with an image which I will put across the top of each email.
I write each newsletter in an online document, run it through Grammarly and then copy it to Kajabi. I pay attention to my subject line and email preview line – I aim to get attention and encourage the opening of my email. I personalise my email throughout by adding the reader's name and also have my email signature at the bottom. I also add a call to action. Such calls include links to my blog, socials, an offer, or an encouragement to reply.
When deciding how you will regularly connect with your community, I suggest researching by subscribing to other newsletters/reading blogs/listening to podcasts. See what resonates for you and your offer. You can get very creative with your newsletter and decide what works best for you – add banners, images, videos, links, unique styling, or links to affiliate products.
