Today, in 4 minutes or less, you’ll learn:
- Tips for creating a clear checkout page for one offer.
- The importance of highlighting benefits (not just features) and keeping the page short and focused.
- You should test the page and then confidently share the link on social media, via email, or on your website.
You’ve got a great offer — how do you make it easy for people to buy?
The answer is that you need a clear, simple checkout page to share confidently. In today’s newsletter, I’ll walk you through creating one, even if you’re not “techy”.
What’s a Checkout Page?
It’s a web page where your customer:
- Sees the product or service you’re offering
- Sees the price and benefits
- Clicks a button to pay
Platforms like Stripe, PayPal, ThriveCart, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, Kajabi or even Canva websites can help you set one up — there is no need to overcomplicate it.
Key Steps to Set It Up:
#1 Pick a Simple Tool
Start with Stripe or PayPal for payment links, or use your website platform’s built-in checkout tools.
#2 Show ONE Clear Offer
Keep the page focused: one product or service, price, and a straightforward call to action. Avoid cluttering it with too many choices.
#3 Focus on Benefits, Not Just Features
Don’t just say what they get — tell them why it matters. What will this do for them? How will they feel after buying?
#4 Keep it Short and Straight to the Point
A short headline, a few bullet points, the price (check the currency is correct), and the payment button — that’s all you need to start.
You could also think about including the following:
- Clear information about the purchase, including key details and next steps, can be helpful (it is easier for the customer and leads to fewer questions for you).
- An image of you/your product.
- Testimonials that highlight benefits.
- The option of coupon codes to boost sales.
- Different payment options, such as different terms or multiple credit card/after-pay options.
- Any legal terms they need to agree to.
#5 Test it yourself
Run a small test payment to make sure everything works smoothly. Test the email, receipt, and thank-you page as well to ensure everything is correct.
How to Share Your Page
Once your checkout page is live, you can:
- Share the link on social media
- Email it to your list of contacts
- Add it to your website or bio link
Remember, people can’t buy if they don’t see your offer — so get that link out there confidently!
